Polar Bear Swim Brings out UBC Spirit
Ignoring goose bumps and freezing temperatures, hundreds of UBC students gathered at year’s end and on the last day of classes at Wreck Beach to strip off their cozy winter fleece and some of their sanity and inhibitions to run screaming into the icy surf in what is now a UBC classic: the annual UBC Polar Bear Swim.
By looking at hundreds of photos and videos shared, it was a no-holds-barred day of fun, cold camaraderie and UBC spirit.
